Bin Store Installation at Colton Crescent, Dover

TM Contract Services was commissioned by Dover District Council to design, manufacture, and install new bin stores for flats located at 61–71 Colton Crescent, Dover. The project included both fabrication works and full groundwork preparation to ensure a durable and practical installation.

Background

The flats at Colton Crescent required new purpose-built bin stores to improve waste management and provide a more organised, accessible system for residents. Dover District Council engaged TM Contract Services to deliver a complete solution from design and fabrication through to groundworks and final installation.

Fabrication & Construction:
- Bin stores designed and manufactured in-house by TM Contract Services.
- Fabrication of steel framework to specification.
- Galvanising carried out off-site for durability.

Groundworks:
- Area set out to plan dimensions for new bin store bases.
- Excavation carried out using machinery to correct levels.
- Installation of concrete edgings for a neat and defined finish.
- Sub-base laid and compacted, with reinforcing mesh added.
- Concrete pads poured to provide a strong foundation for bin stores.

The completed bin stores provide a secure, long-lasting, and practical waste solution for the residents of Colton Crescent.
